Everett’s novel Erasure (2001) tells the story of
the writer-academic, Thelonious “Monk” Ellison,
as he deconstructs Hollywood and publishing’s
grotesque appetite for palatable, stereotypical
narratives about contemporary Black life

 Come share a scholarly or creative work in progress with your fellow faculty and librarians during the Works in Progress Colloquium. Sharing will take place in small groups [on Thursday, March 13th (during the writing retreat day) from 11:30-1:30pm] to ensure time for feedback and discussion. We will use the information you provide to organize participants into groups.
