Olivia Davidson, a graduate from the Framingham Normal School, was born in what is now Mercer County, West Virginia on June 11, 1854. After graduating with a degree in teaching, Davidson went on to become a prominent educator at the Tuskegee Normal School - a school intended to educate young black men and women - which was founded by her husband, Booker T. Washington.
